Arsenic and Old Lace is one of the finest comedies of multiple murder and was the play that put black comedy well and truly back on the theatrical map. It tells the story of two charming and gentle old ladies who poison their poor, orphan lodgers to save them from the sorrows of this world.

This production is being directed by Leonay local Anthony Brown. “Who can ever forget the classic film of this which starred Cary Grant” Mr Brown said. “As a young boy, I recall watching the film and laughing so much”.

Mr Brown said he has a very professional team of both actors and crew who have all worked hard to create a fun filled stage production not to be missed, “We have a brilliant set which has been designed by Stephen Donelan and incredible true period costumes by well-known designer Leone Sharp. If you want a night to have a lot of laughs, then come watch this show”.

Anthony Brown lives in the house well known to Leonay locals. The beautiful home was built by Frank Ifield, best known for his hit song ‘I Remember You’. Frank Ifield lived in the home in the 1970’s. Mr Brown loves the Leonay area and enjoys his time working for production company Ruby Productions, which offers quality stage shows almost every month.
