This year’s Camden Mother’s Day Classic, held at Camden Cycleway and Chellaston Reserve last month, was a great success with approximately $30,000 raised for breast cancer research.

With 650 locals coming together to walk and run the 4-kilometre event on Mother’s Day, it was a sea of pink with participants remembering and celebrating those family and friends touched by breast cancer, whilst raising valuable funds.

“The day was very popular. The weather was fantastic, and we had some awesome local entertainers,” said Thai Tyquin, Event Manager of Camden Mother’s Day Classic.

“Breast cancer research is very important. Previous research is already saving lives and helping with early detection.

For me personally, it is so that perhaps future sufferers will have less invasive treatment options” Thai explained to the Oran Park Gazette. Donations can be made at www.mothersdayclassic.com.au.
