Glenmore Park – Regentville Camera User’s (Photographers) Group was formed recently as a hub for local camera enthusiasts to come together and share their experiences. The group already boasts 74 members and looks to continue to grow.

“The group was formed as a community effort to encourage interaction between local camera users, enthusiasts and casual camera users/photographers. Members can enjoy a great hobby by way of helping and encouraging each other through experiences, tips and photographic assistance on camera operations a step further than the mobile phone camera and using automatic settings. It’s also a place to share photos” said group representative Ben Sharif.

According to Ben, some of the popular local locations he likes to photograph include the wetland areas around Blue Hills and Glenmore Loch as well as Mulgoa Reserve for bird life.

“We also venture outside into the broader Nepean area, Blue Mountains and Richmond. Travel photos, hobbies and sports and historical sites are of interest too” added Ben.

The group’s future plans are to encourage people of all skill levels to enjoy taking photos and for the photographic community to come closer and learn through experiences and knowledge. A mentorship program may also be introduced.
