The Wollondilly Library has welcomed an additional $53,000 in funding for the new Financial Year as part of an increase in NSW Government subsidies for public libraries.
This will bring the total amount of State funding for 2018/19 to close to $185,000 for the Picton based library, enabling improvements to the library collections and services.
Wollondilly Library Services Team Leader, Gail Dunn said, “The extra funding will make a huge difference in helping our library to better meet the changing demands of our readers and communities”.
“We are currently looking at a strategy for the future of our library service, so this will help support us to develop and implement the strategy to meet the needs of our growing population”.
