Camden dog owners can learn the do’s and don’ts of using off-leash parks at a special information night this month.

Animal behaviourist, Dr Jo Righetti will share her insights in the best way to be with your pet at Council’s Dog Park Etiquette information night at Council’s Administration building on Tuesday 19 February.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Peter Sidgreaves said the free information session will assist pet owners at Camden’s local dog parks.

“Pets are an important part of many families in our community and helping people understand their pets and the human-animal relationship is beneficial for everyone,” Mayor of Camden, Cr Peter Sidgreaves said.

“We are lucky enough to have many dog parks in our area which are widely used and this is a great opportunity for pet owners to learn from an industry expert on dog park etiquette.

“The information night will help owners to ensure their visit to an off leash park is a positive experience for everyone.”

Dr Jo Righetti is a PhD qualified animal behaviourist with 20 years of experience in solving pet problems. She is the author of a series of pet books and is host of radio segment, Talking Pets.

The free session will be held at 6.30pm, Tuesday 19 February at Council’s administration building on Central Avenue, Oran Park. Please be advised that this session is for dog owners only and dogs must remain at home.
