Emu Plains residents, Andy Heaton and his wife Peggy celebrated their Diamond (60th) wedding anniversary on 14 February; St Valentine’s Day.

The couple were married at St Andrews, Manly and moved to Cambridge Park in 1960.

Their family now consists of three children; Mark, Carolyn and Deborah, plus six grandchildren and 4.5 great grandchildren (that’s one on the way!)

Andy and Peggy have owned local businesses and during his time in the district, Andy has been President and a Board Member of Leonay Golf Club, Emu Plain Lions and Nepean Probus.

The Lions Club of Emu Plains wish ‘Moth’, a Member for 21 years and Peggy their best wishes for a wonderful celebration. The couple also received congratulations and acknowledgements from the Queen, Governor General, NSW Governor, Premier of NSW and Stuart Ayres, the local State Member for Penrith.
