Due to ongoing concerns with the construction of the Warragamba Inclusive Play Space, Wollondilly Council has stepped in and is now taking a direct approach to the management of the construction works.

Council looks forward to facilitating the completion of this very exciting project and is still working towards a mid-year opening.

Acting CEO Michael Malone said, “The decision to pursue other options to complete the Play Space has been a difficult one; however, we believe that this is the best way forward to deliver this important project”.

“Our goal is to create an exceptional facility for the Wollondilly community”.

The inclusive play space has been designed according to the principles of inclusive play, along with feedback received from community engagement activities.

Once complete, the play space will feature a large climbing net, a wheelchair accessible carousel, a flying fox, swings, water play, musical items, a changing place amenities facility and much more.

As Council takes the construction process forward, they will be updating the project page which can be found on their website www.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au.
