Local students Tane and Jess, the House Captains at Ropes Crossing Public School for the inaugural Beale Sport House, were recently invited to attend the new Bankwest Stadium at Parramatta to meet the namesake of their house – Australian Wallaby star Kurtley Beale. They were accompanied by fellow students Rahfia and Ashmit.

Beale was chosen for being an indigenous role model to aspiring young people and for advocating the group HeadSpace.

Whilst at Bankwest Stadium, the Beale House Captains were asked some questions about sport and what it’s like to be a leader and a House Captain. Kurtley Beale unveiled the NSW Waratahs indigenous jersey for 2019, as the following weekend was the indigenous round for both rugby union and rugby league.
Kurtley Beale presented the House Captains with a signed indigenous Australian Wallabies jersey, as well as a jersey signed by all the 2019 Wallabies team.

This was a momentous day for the students and for Ropes Crossing Public School and one that will not be forgotten.
